Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS)

Under Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations, employers and the self-employed must carry out a risk assessment covering both workers and others who may be affected by their work or business. Significant findings must be recorded if an employer has five or more employees.

Risk Assessment Method Statements

A risk assessment activity requires a method statement, which describes the method of safety precautions put in place to control risks identified in the risk assessment.

CHSP offers practical advice and hands-on help to put together Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS) packs that are tailor-made for your business. So, for instance, a company with six employees may not find a 100-page plus RAMS document useful or operationally effective.

CHSP RAMS packs include:

  • Risk assessments
  • Method Statements
  • COSHH assessments
  • Associated consultation forms as applicable
